"Wunderbarer König" (TLH #42)

TLH #41 and TLH #42 are both sung to the tune "Wunderbarer König."  Because I didn't want to do the same tune two weeks in a row, I had skipt it.  By this point, I'm pretty well committed to recording every tune in The Lutheran Hymnal though, so I went back to do it.  I used a slower tempo to make it different from my earlier recording.  (I didn't realize until listening to my old recording how much slower this one is.)

"Wunderbarer König" (TLH #41)

I think this is the first hymn tune from TLH that I've recorded a second time.  If I'd recorded it more recently, I would have skipt it this time, but I first recorded this last July.  The next hymn in TLH also uses "Wunderbarer König," so I'll be skipping that next week.

The arrangement here is ever so slightly different from the previous one (TLH #4).  In two spots in the bass part, a G note is in a higher octave.  Otherwise, it's the same.

"Wunderbarer König" (TLH #4)

This is the first hymn from TLH that I hadn't heard before I recorded it (although it is in LW [#206] and LSB [#907]); I'm sure it won't be the last.

I recorded this in advance (just for the sake of it), so I did the bass parts too.  I'm glad I did because I really like them.  I think I might start recording more of these in advance because it just seemed to work better.
