A few weeks ago,
the Daily Dose of Latin went over John 16:11 in the Vulgate. In the ESV, it's "
'concerning judgement, because the ruler of this world is judged.'" This seems to be the basis for roughly the second half of the third verse of "A Mighty Fortress Is Our God" (specifically LSB #656):
This world's prince may still
Scowl fierce as he will,
He can harm us none.
He's judged; the deed is done;
One little word can fell him.
