A couple weeks ago, I watched
the Concordia University Wisconsin chapel service from the 5th. The hymn was "O Holy Spirit, Grant Us Grace," and I noticed a small feature in it. It's sung to the tune "Es ist gewisslich." Here's the fifth musical phrase:
In the second verse, the text here is "O make us die to ev'ry sin." The phrase "ev'ry sin" is sung to notes of all different pitches (G E D), giving a sense of the breadth of "ev'ry."
